Dominican liturgical and theological resources online
5 April 2020
You'll find below some links to Dominican liturgical resources, for all of us shut in at the moment. Though we cannot be present at Mass right now, we can seek spiritual communion with the Lord online.
Right now, the Dominican Friars will livestream Sunday Mass from Blackfriars, Oxford, UK at 9.30 am from Sunday 29 March onwards until further notice.
Note that Australians need to convert all of these times for our timezone.
- The time difference from Oxford to Queensland, ACT, NSW, Tasmania and Victoria (AEST) is +9 hours, so 8am Oxford = 5pm Melbourne.
- The time difference from Oxford to SA and NT is 8 hours 30 mins, so 8am Oxford = 4.30 pm NT.
- The time difference from Oxford to WA is 7 hours, so 8am Oxford = 3pm WA.
Weekday Masses will be broadcast at 7.30 am (Monday to Friday) and 8.30 am (Saturday) UK time.
Please pray for each other and for the friars at this difficult time.
- Go to YouTube for streaming.
- Go to Dominican Friar's page of online spiritual resources.
- The Dominican students also operate their Godzdogz blog and Youtube channel.
Over Holy Week, the following will be available:
- Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord – live-streamed Conventual Mass at 9.30am.
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of Holy Week – live-streamed Conventual Mass at 7.30am.
